Obama outlines plan for national service ?

Something else to ponder. Why would Senator Obama need to raise a Civilian National Security Force and arm it like our Military? What would be the purpose for this?

http://bulletin.aarp.org/states/il/articles/obama_outlines_plan_for_national_service.html

We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.
Peachy that is what I thought. My real question is what would the be used for? And for that matter how would you pay for it?
Mavrick if they are not armed how do they become as powerful as the military. All Military power is based on its ability to project fire power (weapons). So I still have a question what will he use it for?

Will Republicans continue to use stale rhetoric from the 1960’s like no taxes and no entitlements?

Certainly you don’t believe you can perpetrate endless wars with random victims throughout the world and not increase taxes??? OK, let me break this down for you-it is on the Chinese Credit card, it is why the dollar is so devalued, because you are so heavily borrowed against that the dollar is worthless and more worthless everyday and if you re-elect Bush and start the 100 years of pointless and destructive wars the dollar and the economy will corrode more quickly. In terms of entitlements, they were largely eliminated under Reagan, I know this because I was personally there at St. Elizabeths (as a therapist) when the mentally ill were literally turned into the streets of DC with nothing and no idea of how to fend for themselves. You want to eliminate subsidies for the elderly? Go ahead-start a campaign against the AARP, in facti, I suggest that you start that campaign today in Florida.
When was the last time you heard anyone who is living say free love or groovy, hey man-get a haircut.

Shouldn’t tax payers at the very least have the same medical benefits as our politicians and prisoners?

I am a 36 year old who recently had a liver transplant that cost over $500,000 and my annual medical maintenance costs will be aproximately $20,000/year for life. My employer based health care plan dropped me, as it relates to transplant care, once they paid $150,000. I am on my own now yet as I continue to work my tax dollars are paying for government officials and prisoners health care. Is it unreasonable to think that I should have at the very least the same health care as the prisoners whom I am paying for. I hope something like this doesn’t happen to any republicans before they can see the light. Those AARP commercials that you see are real.
Obama/Biden 08′

I’d like to know who exactly paid for Obama to be a Community Organizer?

Who hired him? Who was his superviser? Who is the nameless, faceless
person or group who employs these professional rabble rousers? Who
bankrolls them so they can agitate in poor neighborhoods?

I’d love to know so we could follow the money trail back and see where
it leads us. How many cut-outs and front organisations until you get
back to Democrat Party Headquarters?

I’d love to see an FBI or IRS flowchart of all the connections between
mafia controlled labor unions, tax exempt fronts like phony inner city
churches, mosques, environmental and other lobbying groups like AARP,
ACLU, anti-gun groups, PETA, NAMBLA and the rest.

And yet, for all of that, they still can’t manage to run this nation the
way they want. And why not? Because of people like us. And they hate our
guts.

Rusty, at last real information. Thank you very much.

Obama says he will cut the Bush Tax cuts for the poor, have you really thought how bad that is?

the truth is before your eyes and you deny it, you people are sad, I hope Obama does win so you can see what por is, I worked for a living so I can watch you grovel like beggers and fight for a crumb of bread–I havent been turned in yet for the truth,,,, the Obamaidiots must be in shock and awe from what Obama read from the telepromter
the reason you dont see reference to middle class is because middle class is a Socialist term–actually is middle/peasant class when it was originally defined by Karl Marx

Does this restore your faith in the electoral process?

General Electric….NBC censoring Mike Gravel from the Phili press conference…For a while i was loosing faith in the integrity of electoral college but, but why would these war profiteers be so afraid of Gravel getting his word out if the election was hacked? It’s like the speck of yang in the yin. not just GE, but Yahoo!, AARP, and other satan sucklers are trying to silence him. hey that’s a cool aliteration.
ooo chris mathews, the great moral arbitor of our time.
i bet someone has to wipe off his desk every time he finishes a paragraph.

Which candidate do you support? The following is the Candidate comparison. Take these questions seriously?

2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
JOHN McCain BARAK OBAMA

The questions below are listed in McCain’s and Obama web sites and other sites that was approved by both.

The list of questions will have a yes or no or another anwer particilar to that question.

Both candidates answered the question and they are listed. To keep it simple the first answer is McCain’s the second answer is Obama.

Then ask yourself the same questions and if their answer is how you would answer then vote for that candidate.

Please know the issues and not because they are cute, black, good speaker, or because your momma and daddy like them or even your best friend… Get a group of people over tonight. Ask these questions to each one…then grade their answer too.

Don’t listen exclusively to Fox or CNN or people with the loudest voice. Know the candidate you are supporting… here is how!.

Take a sheet of paper and write down ( or copy and paste) the following questions. If you don’t know what the question means ASK SOMEONE or if the question does not affect you, (it may in the future)… then ask yourself who would it affect – then go ask them that question?
Then vote the candidate.
