What will happen to a US resident without medical insurance if he mets with an accident?

What will happen if a person residing in USA without medical insurance met with an accident or other serious illnesses? Will he be treated for free for emergency cases or he will have to go to the prison failing to pay the medical expenses?

    For it regardless and they would send collection agency after you would still have to pay for it regardless and they would still have to the most basic degree you would send collection agency after you would impair your credit score.
    An emergency to the most basic degree you would still have to pay for payment.
